Building my Metal Roller
I recently got a new Welder, so I thought it was time to make something from metal – something useful that I can use to make more parts. A Metal Roller! There’s a video about this, or scroll down for more pictures.
I designed the roller in CAD to check the angle that the rollers come together.

The main design is made from 50x50mm box section steel, and some 20mm internal diameter bearings that I had left over from another project:

I’m using a bottle-jack to tension the two halves of the machine:

The handle is attached to the middle roller with a collar-clamp:
