Fighting Robots Concept

I wanted to experiment with low cost pneumatics to see what I could achieve – I decided to use cheap foot-pumps in reverse as cylinders.

The main structure is made from 3D printed parts printed with teh Lulzbot MOARstruder, wood, and Aluminium 2020 extrusion:

I got hold of some cheap solenoid valves from eBay, and 1/4BSP fittings with barbs on so that I could use simple air line. The valves are controlled with switches for now, check out the vide above to see it in action.
